Youth Leadership Center
The Youth Leadership Center is owned by the Paulding County Agricultural Society and is operated by the Building for Character Council. Contact the OSU Extension office at 419-399-8225 to schedule a rental time.
The primary purpose of the Paulding County Youth Leadership Center is to provide a Centralized location for various youth leadership programs. The primary audience is the youth organizations of Paulding County that build character among our young people. The Center is available for Paulding County Youth organizations to use free of charge. To utilize this service, contact the OSU Extension office and they will put you in touch with the Building for Character Council.
The Paulding County Youth Leadership Center is a place where our youth will learn how to be persons of good moral character while at the same time developing valuable leadership skills needed in the 21st Century. With this in mind, the Building for Character Council has adopted the Six Pillars of Character as a benchmark for developing operational guidelines. The six pillars of Character are: Trustworthiness, Fairness, Respect, Caring, Responsibility, and Citizenship.
Rental Fees - times include set up and tear down time
Conference Room - seats approximately 25 people and includes the use of the kitchenette
1 - 4 hours...$35 5 - 8 hours...$60
Character Hall - Seats 80 w/tables & chairs, includes the use of kitchenette
1 - 4 hours...$60 5 - 8 hours...$120
Entire Building - Character Hall, Conference Room and Kitchenette
1 - 4 hours...$90 5 - 8 hours...$145
9 - 12 hours...$215 12 - 24 hours...$290 (requires $100 deposit at time of booking)

Additional Fees and Charges

$25 charge for doors being found unlocked after event.
$10 charge for lights left on after event.
$50 charge for groups exceeding their rental time agreement.
$50 refundable deposit for sound equipment.
General Building Guidelines
To use the Youth Leadership Center, the following guidelines must be followed:
1. Alcoholic beverages or un-prescribed illicit drugs will not be permitted.
2. Smoking is prohibited inside the building.
3. The use of inappropriate language is unacceptable.
4. The council expects all users to treat the building with respect and clean up after each use.
