CarTeens
What is the CarTeens Program?
The Paulding County CarTeens program is a traffic safety education program for first time juvenile traffic offenders. The mission is to decrease the number of repeat traffic offenses among juveniles in Paulding County and to increase awareness of vehicular safety among teens. The Car in CarTeens stands for Caring and Responsible Teens. Each session includes some of the following: driving skills, drinking & driving, safe driving tips, seat belt usage and much more. Visual aids, group activities, videos, and evaluation tools are all a part of the program.
The unique quality of the CarTeens program is that teens, 15-19, serve as the instructors and curriculum planners along with an adult advisor. Sessions are held bi-monthly. Volunteer opportunities are available for teenagers to assist in leading these sessions.
